Changes at The Business Centre and Masons Self Storage

Emma Mason Business Centre Manager

2018 launches with some exciting changes at The Business Centre (Cardiff) Ltd and Masons Self Storage Ltd

Here at The Masons Group, we have been reflecting on this past year and are delighted to announce a number of exciting changes that will be coming into effect for 2018.

James MasonJames Mason will be leaving his role as Centre Manager at The Business Centre (Cardiff) Ltd in order to fully focus on the expansion project at Masons Self Storage and developing the self storage side of the Masons Group. Summer 2016 saw the re-launch of Masons Self Storage’s brand new state-of-the-art facility and the demand for flexible self storage has been so great, that James has been leading a further expansion project. The project is currently well underway and on track for us to launch an amazing 220 units in the spring.

In addition to the expansion project at Masons Self Storage, James will be taking over full management of the sales and marketing of the centre. James first joined the Masons Group in 2007 with an objective of running the new family business project: The Business Centre (Cardiff) Ltd which was a relatively new concept of serviced office space at the time. Initially, there was another manager working alongside James whilst he was still learning what it meant to run a business. However, by 21, James had completed his ILM Firstline Management Course and was managing a team of 6 people. We’re proud to say that in the past 7 years that James has been running the The Business Centre (Cardiff) Ltd, we have maintained at least 90% occupancy, in fact, for two and a half years, we even had 100% occupancy! Whilst James is running the self storage arm of the Masons Group, he will also be continuing to shadow and work towards heading up the Masons Group of Companies.

Emma Mason Business Centre ManagerWe’re delighted to announce that Emma Mason will be taking over the Centre Manager role from 1 February 2018. Emma joined the centre family (and is part of the fourth generation of Masons working within the Masons Group) around three years ago. After spending a few years developing her management skills and working closely with James, Emma is ready to take over the role. In addition, we will be looking to hire somebody to fill Emma’s previous role who will assist her in continuing to support all of the clients in The Business Centre’s business community. Emma has built a great rapport with our clients here at the centre and we are confident that Emma will only take the centre to new highs.

When announcing the reshuffle across the group, James said:

I truly believe that Emma Mason is the perfect candidate to run and develop The Business Centre (Cardiff) Ltd for the foreseeable future and we are extremely excited to make this appointment. Emma will bring solid experience of the serviced office industry and has worked closely with management and directors over the past few years to bring her up to speed of the needs of the business.

Emma was equally as excited for the future and the challenges and rewards that faced her as Centre Manager, stating that:

I’m extremely excited to be taking the position of Centre Manager at The Business Centre (Cardiff) Ltd, I understand the challenge it poses and I’m really looking forward to maintaining the high standards and exceptional service that we provide our clients

On behalf of the Masons Group of Companies we’d like to congratulate Emma and James on their new positions, and we are looking forward to what the future holds.
